Based on ten gospel characters who encountered Jesus in a life-changing way. Simon Peter, Bartimaeus, Mary of Bethany, Joseph of Arimathea, Thomas-and others-show just how diverse the faces of discipleship are. Author Jeanne Kun takes readers through various scenes in Scripture with her books in the Scriptural Journey series. Each chapter a poetic meditation written by the author; the Scripture passage to be studied; a series of questions for delving deeper into the meaning and significance of each scene; and questions for applying these truths to our own lives. The reflections conclude with an inspiring selection from a noted Catholic author. Appropriate for both personal and group use.

I haven't even broken down all the specifics and minutia of what you can do in a dungeon, but explaining all that would take the entirety of this review. The point is this: My Lord 2 is deceptively complex, and is both fun and frustrating because of this. When I manage to create a dungeon that works, that's filled with life and awesome units, I feel like a champ when I easily took down a wave of heroes. More often than not though, I would create a good looking dungeon, teeming with life, only to watch as heroes stomped all over my face. I played through the game's tutorials (some of which are annoyingly locked at the start), but I still felt like I was more lucky than skilled when I managed to complete an area in the game. It says something about the core mechanics that I found them engaging enough to want to try over and over despite receiving multiple beat downs, but My Lord 2 is ultimately only entertaining in short bursts, lest you get so angry you burst a blood vessel.

Building and managing dungeons is both addictive and often anger-inducing, but the game managed to make me smile repeatedly. Just like the first game, the writing in My Lord 2 is fantastic, poking fun not only at the player but at stereotypical gaming conventions. The story may ultimately be forgettable, but the main character Badman is immediately endearing. If you do decide to pick the game up, I can't urge you enough to avoid mashing the X button in an effort to skip the dialogue, as Badman's advice is one of the best parts of the experience.

In between fights you can upgrade your characters if you have left over dig power.

If you need a break from the campaign, you can get a minor change of pace out of the game's other modes. The challenge levels work well to train you in how to deal with specific situations like how to create a specific tier of creatures as fast as possible but they're still incredibly difficult. If, however, you're into the game's main mechanics and aren't looking for a huge challenge, you can create your own custom dungeon in Badman's Chamber. Here in the Chamber you can set the type of heroes you want to face, set the nutrient/mana level for the dungeon, and even start off with already upgraded units; it's fun, sure, but it does lack the quirky dialogue that you get by playing through the game's story.

Verdict

My Lord 2 is one of the most unique games I've played. It takes a really simple idea and turns it into a crazy, complex puzzler that can cause both elation and frustration. I love the ideas behind it, and the writing is fantastic, but the game could definitely use an option to change the downright brutal difficulty.

Still, if you're looking for a game you can come back to time and again, something you plan to beat over the course of a long period of time, My Lord 2 is a great option.

will star Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva, who comes to the rescue of a disciple who faces a terrible tragedy. Here’s what we thought of the teaser.

The teaser of OMG 2 begins with Pankaj Tripathi, who plays Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a staunch devotee of Lord Shiva.

Tripathi’s voiceover narrates the core premise of the movie, “Ishwar hai ya nahi, iska pramaan insaan aastik ya naastik hokar de sakta hai. Par bhagwan apne banaaye hue bando me kabhi bhed nahi karta (Humans can prove the presence of God by being a believer or an atheist. But God never discriminates amongst the people He has created.)”

During his narration, we see Akshay Kumar, who portrays the avatar of Lord Shiva in the sequel, coming to the rescue of his disciple, who is faced with an awful family tragedy. We also catch a glimpse of a young man dying by suicide.

A fan commented, “Three things are Goosebumps in OMG 2 1. Akshay Kumar look 2. Pankaj Tripathi role 3. Cinematography & BGM”

Another one said, “This is the type of movie we wanted from Akshay Kumar. We can clearly see Akshay Kumar's dedication which was lacking in his last few movies. Pankaj Tripathi's acting is itself a masterclass and BGM gives some special vibes to the teaser. Akshay Kumar's look is also purely OMG.”

Will ‘OMG 2’ live up to the hype of its prequel?

With an IMDb rating of 8.1, the 2012 movie OMG - Oh My God created quite a stir. The prequel stars Paresh Rawal, Kanji Lalji Mehta, an unyielding atheist who suffers a significant financial loss in an earthquake. Since he is unable to receive insurance benefits due to the ‘act of God’ nature of the phenomenon, he goes on to sue God and expose corrupt preachers, charlatans and self-proclaimed godmen. Akshay Kumar, who portrays the avatar of Lord Krishna, comes to the rescue of Kanji.

The spiritual and religious content of the movie also led to its ban in the UAE. While the majority of viewers in India enjoyed the thought-provoking comedy, many were offended at the strong and sensitive narrative of the film.

Ahead of the release of its sequel on 11 August 2023, a decade after OMG - Oh My God came out, we can certainly say that the hopes are pinned quite high. From the POV of a believer to Askhay’s effortless depiction of Lord Shiva, it is safe to say that it could have the potential to live up to the hype of its hit prequel.
