A co-worker of mine got hooked on KNTM a couple cycles ago and now she can finally stop nagging me to join her hahaha. The music video one of the previous seasons did with Beenzino was hella cute and totally convinced me.

While it's too early for me to pick faves (need to thin the herd a bit - it takes me a while to pick on any competitive reality show), I already enjoy this more than the screaming hormone circus happening over on ANTM. The dynamics between the guys and girls are much more subtle and enjoyable.
Please tell me that middle parts on guys is not a trend that is going to continue. Even the handsomest ones looked so dumb in the runway show. It's just not a look that everyone can pull off. I was relieved when they got to the photoshoot and all got new hairstyles.
So yeah, so far no standout faves for me, but everyone is hella fine so bring it on!

Gibeum stood out to me from the beginning. She definitely has the look of an international asian model. I'm just worried by the fact that she's 23 and quite a late starter as far as modelling goes. By the end I was most impressed by MinJung and her s-line/fierce photo. Also, the woman with the cat eye glasses (the creative director/photographer?) was hilariously thirsty while she shot the boys lol

I agree, op, the photoshoot with the water and the gym equipment seemed really challenging. The models had real trouble coming up with poses that would both use the environment and be flattering, and this resulted in a lot of mediocre pictures, frankly. I continue to enjoy Mrs. Han going into rapture over the male models. You better enjoy the perks of your job, girl!

(Re: Jaehyuk possibly looking like Do Kyungsoo, I had a glimmer of that thought, too, but it's really only the eyes, which are very distinctive, especially paired with the heavy brow. Kyungsoo's other features are squishy and voluptuous, while Jaehyuk looks more tight and drawn out.)
Korea's Next Top Model: Guys & Girls, is the final season of the Korean reality television show in which a number of women and men compete for the title of Korea's Next Top Model and a chance to start their career in the modelling industry. This is also the first season to feature male contestants. This season featured sixteen contestants in its final cast. The prizes for this season included: A cash prize of 100,000,000 Korean won, a cover shoot and editorial in W Magazine Korea, a modelling contract with ESteem Entertainment and additional benefits for the winner of the season.
As part of the Top Model franchise, it is based on the hit American TV show America's Next Top Model, and it shares the same format. On 6 January 2010 it was announced that Korean channel Onstyle would begin production of a Korean version of the model search show. Model Jang Yoon-ju would helm the judging panel as the host of the show.
Plans for a male-exclusive spin off began in 2014 before a 5th regular installment was aired, but the idea was put on hold. It was subsequently revealed that cycle 5 of the series would be a co-ed edition featuring male contestants.
Premise[edit]
The series features a group of young contestants, who live together in a house for several months while taking part in challenges, photo shoots and meetings with members of the modeling industry. Normally, one or more poor-performing contestants are eliminated each week until the last contestant remaining is crowned "Korea's Next Top Model" and receives a modeling contract for representation and other prizes.
