Behavior analysts supervising behavior analysis trainees are called to provide high-quality, effective supervision. Supervision must meet the ethical requirements established by the BACB. Therefore, the supervisor must be competent to provide supervision, and the content of the supervision should be conceptually consistent with the principles of applied behavior analysis. The code also outlines that an essential component of effective supervision is the incorporation of frequent, data-based performance feedback. In addition to providing performance feedback to supervisees, supervisors are expected to recruit feedback from their supervisees. In this chapter, we outline the importance of recruiting feedback from supervisees, strategies for obtaining the desired content of feedback, and tactics for consistently requesting supervisee feedback.
