New York Spring-Summer 2023 Fashion Week (September 9 to September 14)

Thanks to CFDA-led programs to promote the fashion industry in New York City, post-pandemic NYFW has been having quite a moment. The CFDA released the official NYFW calendar last week, and even more fun is in store this season.

After a three-year hiatus, Tommy Hilfiger will be making a comeback on the official calendar. Hilfiger’s last in-person show was in London in February 2020. Now, the designer will return to his home city to present an IRL runway on September 11.

PUMA and AREA will also make a glorious and much-anticipated comeback on the schedule. The last time PUMA debuted a collection in New York was for its Fenty x Puma show in 2017. “We are thrilled to collaborate with CFDA and be back on the official NYFW calendar,” says Adam Petrick, Chief Brand Officer of PUMA in a press release. “Returning to fashion week for the first time in several years is significant for us because we knew we needed the right combination of factors to be present.  With an emphasis on digital, a great line up of ambassadors and an amazing creative partner in June Ambrose, the foundation and creativity for a great show are there. And we’re excited that this can be the moment for us to bring it to life.” Although AREA has hosted presentations in the past couple of seasons, the last time the brand graced us with its sparkled futuristic designs on the runway show was in February 2020.

At the same time, many newcomers to the New York space will be a part of the NYFW schedule. Luxury Italian labels Marni and Fendi will join in on all the fun in the Big Apple, hosting their latest collections. Marni will show on September 10 as part of an international tour de Marni to reach the brand’s global audience. The latter announced it’ll be hosting a show on September 9 via Instagram to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Fendi Baguette.

After making its fashion week debut last year in London, H&M-owned Swedish label, COS will also skip across the pond to present its latest collection on September 13.

Global e-retailer boohoo and Kourtney Kardashian Barker are coming together to launch a two-part collection, the first debuting during NYFW. As the brand’s newest ambassador with a focus on sustainability, the POOSH founder is committed to playing a larger part in creating eco-conscious yet stylish designs.

“When boohoo first approached me with this idea that was all about sustainability and style, I was concerned about the effects of the fast fashion industry on our planet.” says Kardashian Barker in the release. “Boohoo responded with excitement and a desire to incorporate more sustainable practices into our line. It’s been an enlightening experience speaking directly with industry experts. I’m grateful for the opportunity to use my platform to drive conversations that lead to ongoing change and use my voice to share actionable tips with consumers on how we can play our own part. There’s still lots of work to be done and improvements to be made, but I truly believe that any progress we can make when it comes to sustainability is a step in the right direction and will open up the conversation for future advancements.”

The Southern California-based sportswear brand Alo Yoga is debuting its first foray into luxury ready-to-wear at NYFW with a presentation of its new Aspen Collection. The cold-weather-ready garments will debut on Sept. 10, followed by a wellness panel discussion. The brand will also be back at Spring Studios as the official wellness partner offering “wellness rescues,” including a neck massage, ear seeding, sound bath and B12 shot for show-goers.

London Spring-Summer 2023 Fashion Week (September 16 to September 20)

This season, London Fashion Week will kick off with Raf Simons presenting his SS23 collection. The show will mark the first time Raf will show his co-ed collection in the British capital.

After showing an in-person presentation outside the traditional fashion week calendar for the past two years, Burberry returns to London on Saturday, September 17. JW Anderson will also be back in the mix after showing in Milan last season, WWD reported.

Milan Spring-Summer 2023 Fashion Week (September 20 to September 26)

Glenn Martens‘ debut show for Diesel was arguably the most notable moments of Milan Fashion Week last season. Following the esteemed accolades from fans, the designer has opted to open his sophomore runway show to the public. The show will take place on September 21. If you find yourself in Milan (or need a reason to go), interested attendees can request an invitation starting September 1 via Diesel’s website.

Dolce & Gabbana will be supporting another up-and-coming designer this season, and will assist from the creation process to the runway debut. This season’s lucky designer is UK-based Matty Bovan. Bovan has become an exciting name on the London Fashion Week calendal and now, the designer will take his collection to Milan to present the joint effort.

In an Instagram post, Bovan announced his excitement for the partnership by saying, “The synergy upon meeting Domenico and Stefano recently was palpable. I’m still processing the idea that I am going to be exploring their archives and mixing their historic work with my new output for next spring. I’m already feeling the turbo charge of this alliance!”

Paris Spring-Summer 2023 Fashion Week (September 26 to October 4)

Victoria Beckham will officially make her Paris Fashion Week runway debut, presenting her namesake brand’s Spring 2023 collection as a part of the official calendar. In March, the designer and beauty mogul soft teased the news by hosting a presentation of the brand’s current season. Seeing as the eponymous label has made its way across the other fashion capitals to present collections, we’re excited the brand’s finally landing in Paris.
