Review mask innisfree my real squeeze

In my post about my current korean sheet mask collection, I mentioned I had 17 sheet masks to get through and review. I’ve tried and reviewed 11 so far, and twelfth on my list is the Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask – Acai Berry, which I will be reviewing in this post.

How to use

Leave on for 10-20 mins, then pat essence into the skin to help absorb.

My Thoughts

Size/ Quantity

The fit of the sheet mask was decent, it didn’t require much folding at the edges but still had some wrinkles. There’s enough extra essence to use on the body too or on the face before or after applying the actual sheet mask. The sheet mask itself was also completely drenched in milky essence and I could still see some remaining after everything.

Texture/ Consistency

The material is thin but not too thin – kind of like a wet tissue. The essence is thin and milky like an emulsion or lotion, and feels very smooth and moisturising.

Scent

The scent of this sheet mask was heavenly! It was like a delicious berry yogurt scent which I love! This does have artificial fragrance added though which can be sensitising for some.

Results

I loved the silky smooth feeling of this sheet mask on my face and the scent was great for relaxing – it instantly put me in a good mood! The sheet mask also had the usual cool and refreshing feeling that most sheet masks do. It was comfortable to keep on for the most part but I did feel slight irritation around areas with breakouts, and a little on and off itchiness too (I know I’m sensitive to artificial fragrances which is probably why I experienced some irritation – although this smells great, it is a pretty strong scent). A great plus point about this mask though is that I wasn’t getting strong whiffs of alcohol up my nose like most other sheet masks give, and that’s because this doesn’t contain any harsh drying/ sensitising alcohols like Ethanol (Alcohol) or Alcohol Denat.

After 20 mins, the sheet mask was still quite wet, but I still took it off as it isn’t good to let the sheet completely dry out anyway.

Once the sheet mask was off, my skin felt baby soft and extremely smooth. My skin had a nice plumpness to it so I know this worked well in moisturising and hydrating it. It didn’t leave a sticky residue but was slightly clammy and left a bit of a greasy sheen to my skin. Although the essence looked thin, milky and was runny, it still had an ever so slight thickness to it which made it absorb a little slower, and I could feel almost like a silky (but tiny bit greasy) veil over my skin which is probably causing the slight sheen too.

Overall, I liked the feeling of my skin once the essence completely absorbed into it and the clamminess went away but I do worry that I might get clogged pores or breakouts as the silkiness was leaning towards greasy. It’s a decent mask to try out and If I don’t get any sudden breakouts from this then I might think about repurchasing it sometime in future, so let’s see what happens.
