Mercedes a Klasa 2023

Mercedes-Benz is busy updating its entire lineup. In the past few months, we caught facelift prototypes of pretty much all the models Mercedes is currently offering. The facelift A-Class was last caught testing back in December 2021, right before the winter holidays.

Now, the car is back, and it seems that Mercedes-Benz decided to test both the sedan and the hatchback at the same time, but not only this, prototypes were caught testing all over Europe, outside the factory's own gates, at Nürburgring, and around the Arctic Circle.

Mercedes-Benz has also made changes to the standard components of the various trim levels on offer. For example, entry-level models come standard with three-dimensionally embossed ARTICO upholstery while the Progressive trim’s cabin is available in black, beige, and a new sage grey. New dark carbon fiber-look trim also adorns the instrument panel and door panels while AMG Line models sport bright brushed aluminum trim and red contrast stitching.

Various new features also come standard across the A-Class range. For example, the entry-level model is equipped with a reversing camera, a USB package, and a steering wheel finished in Nappa leather. Progressive trim models add things like LED headlights, lumbar support, the Parking Package, and the Mirror Package as standard. Mercedes-Benz has also bundled together functional features that are frequently ordered together to simplify the personalization process.

The updated A-Class’s MBUX system is also more advanced than ever before and now incorporates a fingerprint sensor, an additional USB-C port, and improvements to the Hey Mercedes voice assistant. The Driver Assistance Package has also been improved while a new Parking Package supports longitudinal parking and a 360-degree surround view.

Mercedes-Benz has also updated all non-AMG petrol models with 48-volt mild-hybrid systems that include a belt-driven starter-generator. The car will be offered in A 250 e hatch and sedan guises, as well as in A 180, A 200, A 220 4Matic, A 250 4Matic, A 180d, A 200 d, and A 220d forms.

Continuing to top out the range are the Mercedes-AMG A 35 (hatchback and sedan) and A 45 S models. They benefit from largely the same visual upgrades as lesser A-Class models and the A 35 is equipped with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system.

A special variant of the 2023 Mercedes-AMG A 45 S will also be offered to customers. It is dubbed the AMG Street Style Edition and is finished in Mountain Grey Magno with fluorescent orange accents, 19-inch matte black wheels, red brake calipers, and a handful of interior changes, including black Microcut microfiber Performance seats with orange accents.
