Aritaum cream to shine tint review năm 2024

I recently went on a makeup bag replacement binge, and swapped out my Watt’s Up highligher for the Aritaum real ampoule highlighter. The korean highligher reminds me of drawing markers, with a click button on the end.

While I thought the packaging was innovative, the product did not entirely amaze me. 😦

REVIEW: Aritaum Stylepop Juicy Tint [Cherry Rose]

Aritaum cream to shine tint review năm 2024

I got the Aritaum StylePop Pudding Tints a while back, and today I got the Juicy Tint in Cherry Rose which I thought was a close dupe of Benefit’s Benetint. Lets see how it fares!

Price: SGD$7.80 on Qoo10

For the same size, Benefit’s cost about SGD$57, which divides out to about 7 bottles of Aritaum’s. There are 3 shades available: Cherry Rose (blood red), Red Mango (orange based) and Sugar Plum (deep burgundy).

Packaging: Comes in a glass bottle with plastic screw on cap. Once open there is a sponge doe-foot applicator for catching the pigment. The glass bottle is transparent, which allows you to see how much product you have left.

The cap is so cute, with the geometric print. I’m a total sucker for prints, tessellations and polkadots. I ❤ white polkadots on red. I really do think that this is a close dupe to the Benetint, but I don’t own it 😦 Maybe someone can share your views?

On the hand swatch I have about three dots of pigment blended out. The colour is a nice flush of red and it lasts rather long. After washing my arm and using cleansing water, there was still a light faded patch.

I tried applying it on my lips, and it tasted a little bitter just like the pudding tints. Once set, my lips looked refreshed and significantly livelier; but natural enough. I actually like this! On the cheeks this tint gives me a slight flush of colour. I would say this is a good product to have if you like the natural look. In fact, I’m guessing that Benefit got bootlegged hard by these tints!

And the smell! It smells like cherry syrup, sweet and not like cough syrup.

For the price I am pretty sure this bottle can last practically forever, or until it expires.

My rating: 5/5 (cute, good with a low price to boot)

I’m not trying to advocate here but if you are on a budget and want to get a close to Benefit tint.. TRY THIS.

cheerio,

REVIEW: Aritaum Stylepop Pudding Tint [Tango Red + Swing Coral]

Aritaum cream to shine tint review năm 2024

Aritaum.. this brand is really new to me. From what I know, its another Korean brand and apparently their tints are quite the rage. So, I got these in Tango Red and Swing Coral, just to see how they do next to Benefit’s tints. (Sorry I only have Posie Tint and Cha Cha Tint)

Price: SGD$7.80 here (size is comparable to the full sized Benefit tints)

First things first, the price. This costs SGD$7.80 each while a bottle of Benetint costs about SGD$57 at Sephora. Meaning, with the same price, I can buy about 7 bottles of Aritaum’s tints.

There’s a whole bunch of colours available, and I’ve matched them with the corresponding Benefit tints which I think they are dupes of.

So in my opinion:

1. Polka Pink to Posie Tint 2. Swing Coral to Cha Cha Tint 3. Tango Red to Benetint (maybe?) 4. Lollipop to Lolli Tint

Here’s what Aritaum has to say about these tints, I understand the “pudding” notion now, the pigment comes out looking jelly-ish.

Packaging: Comes in a opaque glass bottle with screw on cap. Upon opening, there is a doe foot sponge applicator which picks up the liquid from the bottle.

Tango Red: Smells faintly of strawberry and reminds me of Hello Kitty (like the red in her bow). Colour of the tint is more on the creamy jello side, and is very buildable. If this were a nail polish, I’d totally wear it.

Swing Coral: Smells of orange (are they matching the product colour to a corresponding fruit?), and likewise, colour is creamier than most liquid tints.

Swatches: On the skin, Tango Red is a robust bright red, while Swing Coral is a bright warm orange. Both swatches are two layers, so the more colour you want, the more layers you apply.

I tried them on my lips, and they were pretty much the same payoff as on my arm. However, the tints did taste a little bitter. Don’t know what’s up with that. Staying power is rather long, as they stain. Eating and drinking is not a problem, in fact makeup remover didn’t take all of Tango Red off. I still have that faint little red rectangle on my arm.

Did they dry my lips? Hmm, no but probably because I used lipbalm after I set the tints to dry.

Now, on to the comparison test 😀

As you can see, Cha Cha Tint is more on the peachy coral side, while Swing Coral is a vivid orange. I initially thought they would be a shade off, but now I’m convinced they’re two colours on their own. Similar, but not the same.

Rub test below.

Right, so this was what that remained after I tried rubbing with a piece of tissue paper, and washing my arm. Both tints have migrated onto my arm and left a stain. Kudos to their staying power.

Which led me to think.. wow, it would be crap if you ever stain your whites with either of them.

I think I may want to get Polka Pink, just to see how it fares against Benefit’s Posie Tint. Honestly for the price, this is a strong contender for Benefit. In fact, this performs almost equally as well. I think I’m stepping into the deep end of Korean makeup, someone save me. 😦

My rating: 5/5 (impressed!)

If you’ve tried the other shades, please do let me know how they fared! I’ll be getting Polka Pink and will do a revisit to this tint soon 🙂
