Pyunkang yul essence toner review reddit

Review day 3/7 Before I get started I ordered from yesstyle and no I didn't spend $500+CAD on all the lines. Instead of getting the essence toner in the mail they gave me two of the 100ml essence toner + sample packs. When i contacted them about the error they sent me the 200ml bottle +2 more if the trail sets for free (usually their costumer service is pure trash so this isn't a common occurrence). I then bought the ato line and a few other items as gifts fir friends and for myself using other stores. The samples lasted me over a month and I've only used those products during that time. I said the entire line but I didn't purchase the eye cream since my eye is prone to serious eye infections. My friend likes it but doesn't love it she told me she likes the packaging idea since its really sanitary but it's lacking in every other way.

All their dropper bottles struggle to pick up products at times the to improve on the packaging big time.

Disclaimer- what worked for me might not work for you also do the online test they have on the official website using Google translate if you don't know korean. It's quite accurate if you ignore the bad translations and recommends products for you occasionally. I won't list the ingredients since they are all on the other websites or on cosdna with EWG ratings.

Temp up line- Uses milk vecht root extract. Actually warms up your skin ❤️Essence toner 200ml:

Nothing else to say except for its my HG toner along with my thayers cucumber witch hazel toner (non AB). It's cleansing properties are amazing for a product with no astringents, super hydrating makes my skin smooth and glowy for longer when compared to the klairs supple preparation toner. It has silane, I personally don't really care about silicone derivatives in my skincare since from what I know when I was helping an esthetician with her research for my degree is that there isn't anything wrong if you use it with moderation as long as silicone doesn't cause a reaction in your skin (if your skin is sensitive to silicones I'd avoid this product).

Oil 26ml:

I prefer this over my rosehip oil or marula from TO (only in the summer time) and it absorbs quickly, light hydration and smells pleasant. Combo to Oily skin types who want to try oils might like this.

Balancing gel 60ml:

This product will amaze you ONLY if you read the instructions on how to apply. Spread it (one swipe) on the area then pat till it absorbs. If you rub your skin like how you'd do a moisturiser it will leave this weird white sticky mess. This is used as a sleeping mask that you don't wash off my skin looks more plump. Best way to apply imo is mixing it with the oil. This takes away the stickiness and makes it easier to absorb. Really good for drier skin types and by applying it with the oil it's the perfect oil water balance mixture .

Nutrition cream 100ml:

By itself its not moisturising enough for me but when layered with the other products it performs well. Its a the perfect balance between a lightweight and heavy moisturiser. Purchased the full size for my friend who has oily - combo +sensitive skin. She loves it but the spatula they provide it to small to reach the very end of the product.

Temp down line- this was what caught my eye since my face even in alberta's -30°C weather (with high winds) my face still overheats but stays dry at the same time. Uses coptis japonica root extract as the main ingredients.

Mist toner 200ml:

Ultra lightweight toner not enough for me but may be good if you have oiler skin. I think its better as a to go facial mist than an actual toner imo. I still prefer my Mario badescu aloe mist or my tatcha mist. It has Watery texture and absorbs quickly. I don't think I'll buy the full size

Moisture serum 100ml :

Did nothing for my skin. If you oil moisture balance is all out of wack it might be good but for me it didn't do a single thing.

❤️Moisturise ampoule 100ml:

It's a little thinner than the super thick balancing gel so its easier to spread it cools down my inflamed skin. Makes my skin super hydrated. If your skin is like mine I can't recommend this enough.

Moisturise cream:

The most useless product I've ever tried. It's so lightweight that even rn when my skin is combo i feel no hydration. If your skin is super oily and you only want a thin lightweight moisturiser get this. Actually scratch that get the nutrition cream instead, this product is a waste. Edit : it broke me our which is weird since everything else about the other line didn't. I'm blaming the formulation of this trashy product.

'regular' line- doesn't change you skins temperature. Everything but the foaming cleanser can be used on babies.

Foaming cleaner:

Has pH of 7 don't bother getting it like ever (other cleansers they produce have a pH of 5.5-5.7). Also on of the two products that contain fragrance in the line. Consistency is like glue but 10x stickier. Hate the texture and how my skin feels afterwards. I broke out from my little sample.

❤️The shampoo :

I have an afro and 4b hair so i can't use any shampoos with sulfates unless i want dry and frizzy hair. This alone cleanses my hair, adds moisture, and works as a hair treatment. It comes in a 500ml bottle and the consistency is quite runny. Bought the full size immediately. Only other item thats contains added fragrance in the line.

The 500ml body lotion: Has a gel consistency super lightweight. I didn't really care for it but my friend has Keratosis Pilaris and i gave her the rest of my samples and she purchased the large bottle. Edit: it does keep your skin soft and hydrated I just feel like at that price point you can get more accessible options.

❤️The 500ml cleanser :

Every other cleanser they make except for the foaming one is amazing. Doesn't sting your eyes leathers well and cleanses your skin without stripping it. Meant for body but is gentle enough for the face. Good if you're super sensitive. I use it mainly for the body.

❤️1/3 cotton pads 160 pads : The claim is that you'll use less if your toner and its true. Like two drops of a toner or essence is enough for the face. I fold them in half so it thicker since i noticed when i don't do it because of how thin it is its hard to control. I got mine at I herb which i think is the cheapest distributer.

Ato line- for people suffering with eczema it can also be used on babies

❤️ATO cleanser:

My favourite cleanser atm beats my CeraVe hydrating cleanser that was my favourite cleanser for a while now. I actually prefer the new acne one when im breaking out. I alternate between that one and this one.

Ato lotion:

Got this for a friend. When i was younger I has eczema and rashes all over my legs. My friend still struggles with eczema and bacne; however, he's noticed how much better his skin looks since he started using it. Which convinced me to get it for myself. I like it when I suddenly get a rash or my body has a reaction to something. Wouldn't repurchase it i think some western drugstore products can do the same thing for me for cheaper.

You can find them in sale 30% off currently on style korean. On yesstyle the trial set is $12CAD and I recommend that instead if you just want to try some things. Also if you love the essence like me and want to branch into their other lines it's a good option. Mikaela beauty also does sets as well if you live in Canada or the US.

I already reviewed most of the acne line two days ago. Read that review if you want to see a deeper analysis of that line. A lot of the items i think are meh and you can definitely find better stuff but there are a few gems. I hope that this was even a little helpful if you were interested in this brand 😊
