Every now and then a hotel comes along that completely blows your mind. Last year it was The Anam– voted best luxury hotel in Vietnam. And although its only May, this year it has to be Inaya Putri Bali! Show Although I have been to Bali over 30 times, this is the first time I stayed at the beach town of Nusa Dua! Inaya Putri Bali is a luxury 5-star resort situated in the exclusive compound of Nusa Dua area, on one of Bali’s most famed beachfront! Offering multiple accommodation options including decadent suites or 2-room villas with private pools and exceptional service! You can organise private transfers when booking your accommodation. Alternatively, we hired a private driver as we were coming from Ubud. You could also try and get a Blue Bird Taxi or Gojek. When planning your Bali itinerary and where to stay there are plenty of options, but I have to say, the Bukit Peninsula (Uluwatu, Nusa Dua & Jimbaran) is definitely one of my new favourites! They have the best beaches in Bali and are a little less crowded then Seminyak or Canggu.  First Impression of Inaya Putri BaliUpon arriving, we were immediately blown away by the grand lobby, the soaring entrance resembles a traditional Balinese rice barn. The towering bamboo thatched roof known as ‘Jineng’, is Bali’s signature building used for the storage and drying of harvested rice. We were graciously greeted with warm smiles, and since we were a little early after a seamless check-in we went downstairs to Ja’Jan Bistro 1 of the 3 restaurants for our welcome drink and some lunch. After receiving our exotic welcome drink of rosella iced teas we had a moment to take in our surroundings. Inaya Putri is a rare combination of old Indonesia charm and modern convenience. Although it is a large modern resort it didn’t feel brash or ostentatious, instead, it felt warm, understated and traditional. I was so happy to be finally able to take my partner Matty on a trip and share with him the hospitality of INAYA Putri. We have decided this place might just become a yearly tradition. Rosella Tea | Inaya Putri Bali Matt enjoying his welcomed drink | Inaya Putri Bali Situated on 9 hectares and beachfront bliss, INAYA Putri resort has been welcoming guest since 2016. With perfectly manicured gardens, multiple swimming pools, a fitness centre, luxury spa, beachfront and 3 restaurants we were in for a real treat! When our room was ready we jumped on the back of a buggy. Matt laughed and said ‘you know you’re in for a great stay when your experience starts with a buggy ride to your room.’ He was not mistaken! Rooms at Inaya Putri BaliInaya Putri features 455 rooms, suites and villa. The design incorporates vibrant Balinese culture with modern facilities, including air-conditioning, LCD TVs, coffee machine and Wi-Fi. We stayed in a Deluxe Pool Access room which kinda feels like you have a private villa! The room was a generous size with a big king-size bed leads to a large lap pool ‘shared’ with 6 other deluxe rooms. Although I didn’t see a single soul in ‘our’ pool during our stay! The bathroom was also huge, with a spacious rain shower and a gorgeous big bathtub to soak in. Deluxe Pool Access Room | Inaya Putri Bali The bed was a giant king size and was so comfortable – There is something about hotel pillows, I always seem to have the best sleep on them! The room came with plenty of facilities to ensure absolute comfort during your stay. There is a coffee machine with a good selection of coffee and teas. A large 40-inch flat screen TV which a generous number of international and local channels, along with a Harman Kardon Bluetooth audio device. As well as a complimentary mini bar and daily waters. The only downside is INAYA Putri still use plastic water bottles, and since they are giving away multiple complimentary waters to each room daily they really need to think about implementing an eco-friendly alternative. The pool really made this room special, and I highly recommend opting for the Pool Access Rooms when booking! The pool wraps around the ground floor deluxe rooms and is surrounded by lush, tropical gardens making it feel like a private sanctuary. The main pools can get rather crowded so it’s really nice to have that more private option available whenever you want to cool off and relax! Deluxe Pool Access Room | Inaya Putri Bali The Deluxe Room is 51 m² and has a lounge, desk, and small deck, its a great size for 2 people. If you are travelling with a family, in a group or for a super special occasion they also offer one or two bedroom suites with 24-hour butler service or incredible grand villas with exclusive plunge pool! All of the accommodations options are light and airy and feature king-sized and/or twin beds, beautiful hardwood finishes emulating that Balinese charm, and pop of colour in the furnishing creating the ultimate atmosphere. The premium villa/suites categories that range from 90 to 300 square metres offer living rooms, dining rooms, whilst the two-bedroom villas are designed to make family travel all the more convenient. Dining at Inaya Putri BaliThe most impressive part of INAYA Putri was not only the quality of food but also the choice! The resort has 3 main restaurants as well as in-room dining, beach bar and the deli. There really is a fantastic selection of cuisines when staying at Inaya, you don’t even have to leave! On our first night, we dined at Gading restaurant which has a varied menu of Japanese, Chinese and ‘inspired cuisine’. We weren’t overly hungry after our huge lunch so I got the dumpling soup and Matty ordered a mushroom and tofu dish. Both delicious and were exactly what we felt like! In-Room Dining | I INAYA Putri Bali Soy Cap from The Beach Bar | I INAYA Putri Bali Ja’Jan BistroOn our first day, we dined at Ja’Jan Bistro which is located under the lobby. The casual eatery offers an open-air dining experience with views of the manicured lawns and beach. It serves tasty snacks, light meals and signature blended teas (like our yum,y welcome drink) in a relaxing seaside ambience, the perfect place for lunch! We ordered a roasted vegetable vegetarian wrap that was bursting with flavour. It had a punchy capsicum pesto, melt in your mouth mushrooms, pumpkin and spinach, and served with a side of salad and chips! We also ordered the crab spaghetti that was cooked in a fresh tomato sauce. It was super delicious! Crab Spaghetti | Ja’Jan Bistro Lunch time | Ja’Jan Bistro Buffet BreakfastThe highlight of our stay at INAYA Putri was definitely the food, in particular, mind-blowing buffet breakfast. On our first morning our host had just found out we were vegetarian and kindly took the opportunity to showcase some new vegetarian options they want to implement into the buffet. She said recently guests had been providing feedback that there weren’t enough vegetarian options during breakfast. We were prepared special dishes by the chef to try. Which were delicious! See photo below. I soon found out during my tour of the buffet breakfast that there was indeed an ABUNDANCE of vegetarian options! See Buffet breakfast pt two, but it was nice to try some things that were on the menu yet. Food tasting is truly my favourite hobby. Apple Mint and Ginger Granita | Best Drink Ever Breakfast is served in Gading Restaurant from 7am-11am. It’s quite a busy time, you get to see how many people are actually staying at the hotel! I wonder where they all go during the day? Nowhere else ever seemed overly crowded! Hot tip: Just to the right of Gading or in Homaya restaurant there is a much quieter section to enjoy breakfast. After the suggestion from the lovely Aong(waiter), we enjoyed our breakfast there the second morning with a killer view of the pool and beach below. Such a nice way to start the day! Vegetarian Indian Breakfast | Inaya Putri Jamu | Buffet Breakafast Drinks | Buffer Breakfast Buffet BreakfastOkay you have to start with the glorious apple, mint and ginger granita drink. As soon as you sit down someone will come and take your order. Although It is a buffet, they have a range of speciality drinks like fresh juices and delicious coffees! We honestly had about 3 each. They are so good. You have your standard juice, waters and ice teas on offer like most buffers, but you also can get the medical Balinese speciality Jamu. Jamu is a herbal potion said to alleviate hangovers, depression, sore throats and cold. The elixir goes back to the Javanese Mataram Kingdom around 1300 years ago but is still apart of daily rituals and healing. It is made from tumeric with ginger and other ingrdients usually added. First up we were served up a delicious vegetable ratatouille, with super fresh produce and finished with a homemade tomato sauce. It was a nice way to start a 6 course (or so) breakfast. Next, we were treated to a variety of vegetarian Indian dishes that consisted of Indian bread like naan and paratha, curry and dhal and accompanied with all the condiments the Indians are famous for – coconut chutney, pickles and sumbar. A bowl of vegetarian fried rice was also delivered. As well as a plate of fresh fruit and 3 different puddings, yoghurt and muesli cups. Full and satisfied would be an understatement at this point. HomayaOn our last night, we dined at Homaya, INAYA Putri’s on-site Indonesia restaurant. This authentic dining experience is only open during the night, it celebrates traditional flavors of the Indonesia archipelago! The chefs at Homaya have taken Indonesia’s food flavours and culture and delivered a menu driven by market-fresh ingredients. The restaurant is an artistically decorated environment with 80 seats and a long communal table for social dining. We ordered frozen daiquiris, a lemon and mango, which went perfectly with the complimentary rice and vegetable crackers we received on arrival. Matt loved dipping them in what he thought were ‘dips’, I later told him after I also enjoyed the ‘dips’ they were actually condiments for our meals. There was 6 though so I feel like we used them wisely. They consisted of an onion pickle, sambal, spicy green papaya, maybe like a sweet tamarind sauce, spicy soy sauce and green chilli sambal. For our meal, we ordered perkedels, an authentic Indonesian food. These humble potato patties are an adaptation of the Dutch frikadel and have become a popular street food. They were great to dip in all the sauces! We also got the king prawn and green papaya salad. For our mains I ordeded the tofu and vegetable curry, which was delicious. And Matt ordered spicy king prawns with green beans. Buffet Breakfast Pt 2Amenities at Inaya Putri BaliI was blown away by the spa at INAYA Putri. We weren’t even planning on going, but so thankful we did! After 2.5 hours of total bliss we both agreed in our overly relaxed state it was the best spa experience we have had. Our experience started with a questionnaire, which aims to understand what you really want out of your visit to the spa. If you are getting a massage, what pain points you have and what you would like them to focus on. We were then taken to a private couples rooms, given a glorious foot scrub and magical taken away from all our problem during a 1.5-hour massage.
