Disc installations on consolesInsert a game disc into your console's disc drive. The game will automatically install on PlayStation consoles. On Xbox consoles, you'll be prompted to install the game. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III requires a Day One update in order to play the game. After the installation is complete, launch the game to prompt the update. Please note: Call of Duty HQ continues to evolve, bringing multiple titles to Call of Duty players from one, single destination. The following is a known issue. Physical Disk Identification: Some players will encounter changes with how Call of Duty games are listed during the download and installation process. For example, some players who install Modern Warfare III from a physical disk may first see the Modern Warfare II icon and name listed until Call of Duty HQ has fully updated after a Day One patch to unlock Modern Warfare III. This is due to production lead times during ongoing Call of Duty HQ development. |
