The volume range is higher with the lightning headphones than the auxiliary quad driver headphones. However, if you tend to enjoy listening to music at louder volumes. Then the quad drivers are better. Because the high notes are too loud with the triple drivers at higher volumes. 2. The triple drivers deliver a more accurate, crystal clear and detailed sound than the quads. Because of the lightning (digital) vs auxiliary (analog) connections. Logically, the differences between the the two available options for the triple driver headphones (lightning and auxiliary) should also share the same differences I have found with the quad vs triple lightning. 3. The quad drivers also have a much stronger and more durable cable than the triple. The only difference in accessories is that the quads also come with an airplane adapter. 4. Which do I prefer? I think I will be using the quad drivers more. Because the sound is more balanced at louder volumes. I hope that 1More addresses the high note problem in their future lightning models. Because if it weren’t for the high note problem. Then I would prefer the lightning over auxiliary.
