After an arena, I accidentally clicked "Add Friend" instead of "Don't Send". When I went to cancel the request, it's not letting me. I can choose the option, and the list refreshes, but when it repopulates, that person is still there listed as "pending." I tried with another person and got the same result. Has anyone else had this problem before? If they accepted, I would just remove them after... but it's been a week and they're
still sitting on the list. While we're on the subject though, does anyone else find it a tad frustrating when you send a friend request that goes unanswered for days/weeks? Download Article Download

Why can I not delete a friend request on Facebook?
To cancel a friend request, go back to their profile, click that same button, which now reads Cancel Request. You can also remove a friend via your Friends list. Facebook does not notify people if you remove them.
Can I cancel a friend request after I've already sent it?
Tap at the top of your Feed. Type the name of the person you sent a friend request to. Go to their profile by selecting their name when it appears. Tap Cancel.
Why does it say message instead of cancel request on Facebook?
It sounds like the person did not accept your friend request. When you first send it the request will show as pending (you would see cancel request) until the person responds. If they don't accept you would see the option to send them a friend request since the previous one is no longer pending.
